Sun in the Pacific Northwest (in October!)
Amy has 3 amazing children. Each has a personality as big as the next and each is unique. It makes for a lot of fun ( and happy chaos). We were lucky to have the beautiful October sun out ( of course it was 38 degrees, but we had the sun:)

Holiday Fun
If you have ever read Calvin and Hobbes, you have met Evie's alter ego. She is so expressive, smart and meeting life on her own terms, while Shana and Charlie are the wise guardians that can sometimes only stand back for a moment and watch. Luckily when Evie run's off on her next adventure, Shana and Charlie have each other :)

Kim Lifestyle Portraits
Kim radiates a sense of warm integrity. She has spent 20 years in the public sector and for her second act is starting her life coaching business https://true-north-lifecoach.com. Since these days when you are the business, you need more than just a headshot. I was so glad when she entrusted me to capture her new headshot, editorial images for her blog, instagram and flyers. It has a mixture of serious moments and warm smiles. In short a lifestyle shoot to give a small busine

Holiday Magic
We were lucky. Mother Nature had finally given us a beautiful (but cold) fall day. We had hoped for this as we had rescheduled the portrait session to avoid being on a rainy day (yes the pacific northwest has a lot of those:) Emily is one of those people whose personalities fills the room. I don't know how she and Drew juggle careers, family and time, but they do it as a great team, even when mother nature and Kerr are being difficult.

Rod & Joanne Holiday Portraits
When Rod asked me to do holiday portraits for he and his wife, I was delighted. Rod is a wonderful human being who also owns a great, creative business, speedpro portland: https://www.speedpro.com/portland/ . They do cool banners, amazing murals and pretty much anything print related. We were lucky in that it was a beautiful day downtown Portland in the pearl district. We had a fun time in Tanner Springs park and got some images that captured their fun sense of humor and lov

Talent and a new direction
A few years ago I had the pleasure of working on a book project with Emmaly Wiederholt. We completed the book and you can see it here: book https://www.amazon.com/Beauty-Experience-Dancing-50-Beyond/dp/0998247804/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 Emmaly, happily, had an idea for another book. We learned from the first book, how hard it is to make a beautiful book without comprimises and get it out in the world. So we brainstormed and came up with a new idea on how to make i

First Day
I have had the pleasure of knowing Abbey & Kent for almost as long as I have been in Portland. They are the type of people that make each day a bit better because they are there. I am grateful to call them friends. When Abbey texted me that their newest family member was about to arrive, I wiped my next day's calendar clean and planned on capturing the newest family member Claire. Her first day in the world :) #Newborn #FamilyportraitsPDX #NewbornProvidenceStVincent

50 Amazing Years
I have had the pleasure of knowing Heather for years. She is a student at my wife's studio ( www.modphysique.com). So when she contacted me and told me that she and her sister wanted to give their parents a special gift for their 50th wedding anniversary, a portrait session. I was honored that she would entrust that to me. We were lucky and the day was beautiful and Laurelhurst park was stunning. We had both sisters and their families (Heather's husband makes my favorite hot

CHELSEA HOLIDAY PHOTOS
You know when you first meet someone and can instantly feel that they laugh with life and are enjoying each day? Well Chelsea is one of those people. When I got the her house to plan for the holiday photos, she had a radiant smile on her face that was so welcoming. She has two little one's ( that have more energy than 10 adults combined) and a patient husband, who kindly helped guide the little one's to take the photos. It was AWESOME! I don't think they held still for longer

Angela Holiday Portraits
When I first met Angela, I knew that she was an amazing person. She was passionate about her work (she is a realtor with an eye for unique properties) and was able to talk about each special place with a genuine love for what makes it unique. When I got to her home to meet for the family portraits, I was in awe. Her home was lovingly restored to its 1880 splendor. I just had to use the front door to start the holiday portraits! She has two lovely daughters and a great husband
